Public Lecture - Professor Walter McMahon
 
On the 27th April the initiative was delighted to host a public lecture delivered by Professor Walter McMahon,   eminent economist and educationalist from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Higher Learning - Greater Good: Identifying and Valuing the Non-Market Private and Social Benefits of HIgher Education  
 
Professor McMahon spoke about his work in developing a new approach to assessing the wider impact of higher education . His recent book Higher Learning-Greater Good: The Private and Social Benefits of Higher Education (John Hopkins University Press 2009) was awarded 'Best Book in Education 2010 by the Professional Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers.
